Job description:
•Performs the daily operations of the inventory and cost accounting functions of the Accounting Department.
•Utilizes accounting methods and practices that are in strict compliance with company accounting policies and generally-accepted accounting standards and practices.
•Conducts all inventory and cost accounting activities in a complete, accurate and timely basis; prepares required reports that are also accurate and reflect the true financial position of the company.
Participates and cooperates with the external auditor in the annual external audit of inventory and/or cost accounting activities.
Investigates and reconciles all inventory transaction discrepancies (e.g. skipped series, unposted transactions, encoding errors, no transmittal or late transmittal of documents, etc.).
Qualifications:
BS Accountancy graduate from a reputable university
Preferably a licensed CPA holder
At least 2 to 3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Good, in-depth working knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge and familiarity with SAP will be a distinct advantage
Must have good working knowledge of Philippines financial accounting standards, national and local tax rulings and corporate governance rules and standards, and must be updated in current trends with regard to all of the above standards and rulings
