ARNOCAS is looking for a top-level Accounting Assistant who will report to both Senior Bookkeeper and Business Manager and would be responsible for preparation of management accounts, business activity statements, workpapers, Superannuation Guarantee Charge Statements, MyLeave returns and ABS surveys and would provide support to other bookkeepers/accountants and directors.
He or she should be able to perform the following:
Processing and coding transactions and bank reconciliations
Prepare management accounts
Prepare tax registrations and applications as required
Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on client matters
Develop an in-depth knowledge of all clients' financial situations
Maintain current and accurate files and record and date any actions and detailed file notes
Update Firm Registers as required
Process software set up and/or conversion review
Ensure clients consistently receive service excellence in line with our service standards
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant bookkeeping and other relevant legislation and rulings
Complete timesheet daily
Participate in training as required and instructed
Use available resources to seek answers to technical questions prior to consulting manager
Other duties as directed

He/ she must have the following Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree/ Tertiary Accounting Qualifications
He/ she must have the following work/ position experience:
Experienced in the preparation of Business Activity Statement, including Fuel Tax Credits, GST, PAYGW and PAYGI. Preparation of Superannuation Guarantee Charge Statements, Payroll Tax returns, MyLeave returns and Taxable Payments Annual Returns
Excellent knowledge of legislation regarding GST, Payroll, Payroll Tax & Superannuation
Excellent skills at reconciling accounts
Skills for communicating those concepts
Excellent use of Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferably with experience on the following Accounting Systems:
Xero
Quickbooks
Cashflow Manager
MYOB Essentials
MYOB AccountRight
