Description
· A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or any related course
· Relevant accounting experience and willingness to be trained on Australian Accounting
· Good written and verbal communication skills in English
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Willingness to learn, show initiative and be a positive "team player"
· Ability to build relationships with clients
· Positive and happy attitude
· Highest standard of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism
· Excellent time management skills
· Intermediate or advanced level of skills in Microsoft Applications and a good typing speed
· Can work with less supervision
· Experience in taxation is an advantage
· Knowledge in XERO, MYOB, QUICKBOOKS, or other online accounting software is an advantage
· Call Centre or BPO experience is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
· Preparing end of year tax returns for Australian individuals using accounting software, Handitax
· Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS)
· Preparing end-of-year financial statements and tax returns for Australian Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs); a type of retirement trust.
· Using our Paperless system, Adobe, to prepare to support workpapers Indexes for end of financial year work.
· Managing the timely completion of your own allocated workflow
· Completing Ad Hoc research tasks relating to the investment and operation of SMSFs per relevant legislation
· Attending workflow meetings with the Australian based supervisor
