Job Summary:
The Accountant provides a supporting role to the financial management of the company and is responsible for the delivery of all company accounting tasks, including but not limited to transactions processing, accounts preparation, balance sheets reconciliation, invoicing, payroll, end-of-month procedure, and other ad hoc analysis as required.
Responsibilities:
Review and reconcile bank transactions, and record and update accounting data on a daily basis to ensure financial records of the company are up to date.
Manage accounts payable function: process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy, and prepare weekly payment runs.
Manage accounts receivable function: process client invoices in accordance with requests from the project team and company policy, actively manage debtors accounts to ensure effective debt collection.
Prepare and process monthly payroll and all associated monthly and yearly reporting, including review, reconciliation, and QA to ensure payroll is conducted efficiently and to the highest degree of accuracy.
Prepare Business Activity Statements and process other statutory payments, such as PAYGW, Super, Payroll tax, etc.
Perform the month-end/year-end procedure to prepare the financial statements and complete all relevant reports as required, including but not limited to bank and credit cards reconciliation, WIP movement, fixed asset register update, accruals and provisions, full balance sheet reconciliation and P&L line items review.
Manage finance team inbox, and attend to queries from the team, clients, and vendors on a timely basis.
Assist the Finance Manager in preparing forecasts and budget;
Support the Finance Manager in reviewing and evaluating forecast/budget variance and analysing financial performance data.
Assist with all other financial tasks and management reporting obligations as requested by the Finance Manager.
Follow company policies, and adhere to relevant accounting standards and accounting principles of Noetic/Atturra.
Requirements
Tertiary Qualifications in Finance/Accounting or associated fields
Systems: MYOB, FinOps, TimePro, Smartsheet, Resource Manager, PM Tool, SharePoint, Office 365
