This position will be responsible in providing expertise in analyzing tax forms, ensuring compliance with tax laws, submitting tax returns on time, preparing tax account reconciliation, and filing yearly VAT refund. This is the ideal role for someone who prioritizes accuracy and efficiency, has advanced Excel skills, and values strong internal controls. This position will report to Accounting Controller
Responsibilities :
Preparing and filing accurate and timely tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring adherence to all pertinent tax laws and regulations.
Conducting thorough tax research to stay abreast of evolving tax laws, identifying opportunities for tax savings and ensuring compliance.
Analyzing financial data, transactions, and records to determine appropriate tax liabilities and deductions.
Collaborating with vendors/suppliers and internal stakeholders to gather requisite information for tax return preparation and address tax-related inquiries.
Providing expert tax planning and consulting services, identifying potential tax strategies and advising on tax implications for business decisions.
Assisting in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules for tax return filings.
Reviewing tax assessments, notices, and audits, and engage with tax authorities to resolve discrepancies.
Maintaining accurate and organized tax records and documentation for audit purposes.
Aiding in developing and implementing tax policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance tax compliance.
Providing support during financial audits, liaising with auditors to address tax-related inquiries and provide documentation.​
Requirement:
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License is required
Has excellent knowledge of Local Taxes (Corporate Tax, VAT, Final Taxes, Income Tax, amongst others including the filling of returns and forms)
Has advanced level of experience in General Accounting, with specialization in Taxation, Audit and General Ledger
Is proficient in MS Office applications and knowledgeable in any accounting system, M3 accounting system knowledge is an advantage
