About the Client
Our client is a privately owned brand development and product sourcing company based in Australia. They are looking for an Accountant to do the following:
Stock and Purchasing
Forecasting stock requirements for 6 months plus based on sales and future orders.
Raising Purchase Orders.
Monitoring Purchase Order lead times and ensure orders ship on time.
Logistics - gathering all relevant documents for containers, telex releases, declarations, certificates of origin, container deliveries.
Managing supplier payment terms and when payments are due to ensure timely release of Bills of Lading.
FX Management - Forward Cover Contracts to cover purchases - analysing foreign currency rates against AU$.
Stock Costing
Purchases Entry
Purchasing
Incoming Stock Costing
Purchases Entry into MYOB
End of month payables
Sales
Invoicing :
Batch Invoices
General Invoices
Booking in customer deliveries and pick ups
Liaising with warehouse and distribution
Proof of Delivery Requests
Receivables/Debtors - chasing payments by customers

General reconciliations and reporting
Bank Reconciliations
Activity Statements - ATO

General operations
Qualifications:
Experience with MYOB
Experience with Australian Tax System including calculating and lodging activity statements.
Experience with stock items/managing inventory.
Experience with international logistics - shipping containers from country to country.
Good communication skills
