This is an office-based role (Exquadra Tower, Ortigas Center) - Monday to Friday 10 am to 7 pm (1 hour break).
Hybrid working (up to 2 days a week) is planned to be introduced in 2024.
Our rapidly expanding Group is looking for motivated and experienced Accountants.
The ideal candidate should be excited about the opportunity to pursue and implement this Shared Delivery Center (SDC). The candidate should have several years of experience in financial accounting and the ability to take leadership in assigned tasks.
A strong candidate will provide a high level of support, identifying any technical or skills training requirements the team needs and excellent people skills.
Collectively their team will ensure that all KPIs are achieved and work with a high level of commitment, accountability, and ownership to ensure the Group goals are met and exceeded.
IFRS understanding is required, and the ability to identify areas for transformation, process improvement and optimization.
Ability to establish solid relationships and communication lines with operations and other departments, including heads of department and management within the group and GCC based Finance team.
Job Role:
Responsible for several Home Owner Associations accounting transactional and reporting requirements and ensuring the provision of high-quality accurate financial information is provided to the OA(s) on a monthly/annual basis.
Ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations where needed.
Process optimization: drive out workflow inefficiency across the team and development of dashboard real-time reports, and robust controls matrix that ensure accuracy and timely information delivery.
Identify and suggest methods and practices to minimize financial risk in the OA (Real Estate Owner Associations)
Liaise with external auditors to prepare and finalize financial statements accurately and on time.
Undertake continuous professional development and keep up to date with all technical accounting and industry-specific legislation and be able to deliver training to team members on these developments/changes.
Ensure compliance with local and regulatory requirements, including taxation and compliance.
Report to the Finance Business Partner on work/departmental issues.
Qualification in finance/accounting like ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent and good written and spoken English communication skills is required.
Knowledge of ERP (SAP preferred) will be essential for the position, along with the capacity to work as part of both local and overseas-based teams.
