Scope of Work:
General Ledger Accountant will play a vital role in our company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with the law and accuracy in accounting.
Core Responsibilities:
Mainly in charge of General Ledger
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Guides accounting associates by coordinating activities and answering questions.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Secures financial information by completing database backups.
Support monthly and annual close process
Perform account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct.
Reconcile accounts with the general ledger to ensure that all transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations.
Tax compliance knowledge on VAT input, creditable withholding tax, withholding tax on compensation, fringe benefit tax and others.
Experience on BOI registered company is a plus.
Stay informed on industry regulation updates.
Requirements
Graduate of BS in Accountancy
2-3 years General Accountant experience and handled 500-1000 head count.
High integrity and professionalism
Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
Understanding of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and BIR regulations applicable to tax reporting and payments
Experience with accounting software, like QuickBooks Enterprise
Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
