Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the AU Financial Controller and working closely with other members of the AU Finance team, this role performs general accounting, financial analysis and reporting tasks including support for monthly, half year and year-end financial reporting process. Tasks include Balance Sheet reconciliations and regular accounting duties. Role also manages POS claims, reports etc. for a number of vendors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific duties may change from time to time, but currently comprise:
Managing daily Cisco POS submission and weekly Cisco Debit/Credit memo allocation and POS ageing claim analysis
Performing a daily Shipped not billed analysis, clearing and COPA journals
Managing Inventory accounts including In-Transit, Provisions for Inventory Obsolescence, shipped not billed and front-end discounts
Managing Trade Payable account & other Accrual accounts.
Administration of Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE) and maintenance of Fixed Asset register including addition, disposal, transfer, depreciation and Intangibles accounts.
Ensuring month-end, quarter-end, half-year and year-end close tasks are accurately performed in a timely manner including reconciliation of assigned Balance Sheet GL accounts and all other relevant APAC reporting.
Providing support to Finance team during internal and external audits.
Identifying where current processes can be improved and executing new and efficient methods.
Back-up to other Accountants
Running and supporting the AU Financial Controller with ad hoc projects
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
CPA qualified
SAP experienceCPA qualified
Experience in a similar role, preferably IT industry
Intermediate level competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to analyse and interpret data
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
Excellent communication (verbal, written) skill
Self-starter with proven ability to take ownership
