Supporting the Finance Manager
Collaborating with the Finance Manager on various accounting projects
Performing reconciliations of accounts
Processing payments and invoices accurately and within expected time periods
Entering payable accounts into Xero and preparing the payments for approval
Preparing profit and loss accounts sheets
Preparing GST returns
Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries
Ensuring payments, amounts, and records are correct
Working with spreadsheets, sales, and purchase ledgers, and journals
Processing expense requests for the accountant to approve
Bank reconciliation
Liaising with suppliers
Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
Intermediate level Accountant, 3-5 years working experience
With experience using Xero
Knowledge with fixed asset is nice to have
Intermediate to Advance knowledge in excel
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
Analytical thinker and problem solver
Competent IT skills, particularly proficiency with spreadsheet software
High level of accuracy
Extremely organised in a manner that is easily read by others
Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information
Administrative skills
Necessary Skills (in addition to excellent written and spoken English)
