JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and cash management of the entity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting (Legal entity):
Ensure BHPI financial reporting are in compliance with Phil Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
Liaise with internal and external auditors on provide data as necessary;
Acts as BHPI Financial compiler per requirement by BIR and SEC;
Ensure Quarterly and Annual Income Tax submission are timely, accurate and in compliance with local regulatory requirements;
Internal Control:
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with policies;
Drive regular testing/self-checking mechanism to ensure "readiness" during audit;
Lead regular review of Balance sheet and ensure timely and accurate (if any) adjustment is required;
Ensure timely and accurate submission of quarterly reports (Inventory reserve, LOCOM and Critical spreadsheet. Tax Kit and Rep Letter);
Drive regular testing/self-checking mechanism to ensure Entity's "audit readiness
Treasury:
Review weekly payment runs and telegraphic transfers;
Review Intercompany netting and non-netting payments;
Review fund transfers and FX deals and Citi Paylink via Citibank bank platform;
Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow report and forecast and highlight for any cash deficiency or surplus;
Others:
Drive simplication and improvement of related work processes as needed;
Provide training and guidance for general accounting processes and tax updates;
Other adhoc duties that may assign from time to time;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Internal control, Philippines tax, PFRS and US GAAP and General Ledgers
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and preparing and entering financial information
Ability to work with cross function team
Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
High computer literacy preferably with ERP -JDE exposure
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of BS Accountancy, preferably CPA
5+ years experiences in Internal Control, General Accounting and Taxation gained from MNC
Exposure to taxation and internal control preferably in Audit firm
