The Opportunity
This highly respected Australian Chartered Accounting firm is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their offshore team. The role will require someone who is also hands on and is able and willing to assist clients with all aspects of accounting support and deliver bookkeeping services to the firm's clients
Responsibilities
Preparation and lodgement of monthly or quarterly BAS/IAS
Preparation of monthly management accounts (including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet)
Execute and manage the accounts payable & accounts receivable functions
Prepare year end management accounts
Processing of year-end adjustments
Payroll processing
Budget and cashflow preparation
Fixed asset register management
Payment and management of payables
Set up and customise bookkeeping files using Xero
Data entry and bookkeeping for the business bank accounts
Skills & Experience
2 + years relevant experience
Relevant qualifications in accounting and/or finance
An understanding of Australian accounting
Proficient in using accounting software - XERO preferred
Excellent written and communication skills
A team player and able to work independently
Desirable:
CPA/CA
Xero Accounting software
Australian tax and accounting experience
