Your new role
This is a permanent full-time work-from-home role for an Accountant.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Uses financial data to prepare and record journal entries.
Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations.
Analyzes the financial statements and provides concise explanations for variances.
Validation of payroll registers and preparation of reports
Assist external auditors during year-end financial audits.
Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
Maintenance of the fixed asset register and intangible assets schedule including depreciation/amortization run and reconciliation with the respective GL account
Proactively contributing to internal control policies and procedures;
Other duties requested that support and back up the Finance Team
May perform other special duties or assignments as requested or required by the Operations Manager or Supervisor and Head Office team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have an established career history in Quality Assurance, you will also ideally have:
B.S. Accountancy graduate, preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
At least 2-3 years of experience in an accounting position (bookkeeping, accounts payable or receivable, assistant accountant) though Fresh graduates are welcome to apply;
Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage; Experience using Xero Practice Manager, Xero Tax, MYOB, Quick Books
Goal and results-oriented and can work well under pressure.
A professional approach to dealing with issues of a confidential nature
Strong communication skills and extremely self-motivated when managing communication channels
The ability to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision and have a track record of acting with urgency and meeting deadlines
A high level of attention to detail
The initiative to follow up tasks assigned and stay on top of things
Team player and, resilient
Ability to work in an online environment;
Experience with office management software like MS Office, intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
