Job Summary
The Accountant reports to Finance Director and is responsible for all accounting tasks relating to Cracknell Philippines Inc as well as assisting in the overall accounting work within the Cracknell Group. A further responsibility of this role is to assist in the general management and administration of the company.
The key responsibilities of this role are to work very closely with the Accounting Team in Dubai (Head Office), to maintain accurate financial records, ensuring reconciliations and any data entry is performed in a timely and diligent manner and to assist where necessary in the administration of the local operation.
Key Areas of Responsibility
· Coordinate closely with the Head Office Accounting Team with respect to the timely recording and reconciliation of incurred project costs and overhead items.
· Maintaining Customer Account Statements for all customers globally.
· Assist in the bank reconciliations for all the Group Accounts.
· Keeping the Fixed Asset Registers for all Group Companies accurate and up to date.
· Maintaining the prepayment schedules for the Group and releasing the monthly charges
· Managing the monthly vehicle expenses process (CLD company)
· Assist in the control of the staff expenses and recoveries that are submitted to HR each month.
· Ad hoc work at the request of the Finance Director or the Group Finance and Operations Director.
· Help in the general administrative responsibilities of Cracknell Philippines.
Technical Competencies
· Ability to use professional knowledge and skills in Transactional & Financial Accounting Principles, including WIP accounting, cost and revenue allocation, invoicing, account reconciliation and controls, combined with high degree of diligence, to manage customer statements and maintain company's accounting records in an efficient manner; to contribute proactively to continuous improvement of company's accounting, and reconciliation processes and standards.
· Ability to demonstrate basic knowledge and skills in Financial Reporting and Controls, MIS, IFRS and Accounting Standards to produce various financial accounting statements from raw accounting entries for governance and compliance use; to help compile and prepare financial data and statements for internal and external audit purposes.
· Apply good knowledge of Tax & Regulatory requirements in each of operating countries as applicable to accounting and invoicing activities to ensure local and group-level compliance.
· Good computer and MS-Office skills and very good knowledge of Excel including the use of Macros, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, graphs and charts; basic good knowledge of FIS and a very good working knowledge of a company's ERP system.
