Reporting to the AU Financial Controller and working closely with AU Finance team, this role performs general accounting, financial analysis and reporting tasks including support for monthly, half year and year-end financial reporting process. Tasks include Balance Sheet reconciliations and regular accounting duties. Role also manages POS claims, reports etc. for a number of vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties may change from time to time, but currently comprise:
* Performing a daily review of Daily Sales Report (DSR) and providing AULT with qualified, concise comment on vendor margin exceptions including where negative or significantly lower or higher than expectation (budget) or look unusual
* Managing daily or weekly vendor POS claim submission, reporting etc. for a number of vendors currently including Cisco.
* Accounting for, tracking and reporting on all Marketing CO-OP/MDF, working closely with the Marketing team including creation of MEP Internal order number, COOP invoicing etc. and coordination with Vendor Operation Managers.
* Managing Intercompany cross-charges (including raising Debit/Credit notes, management fee true-up calculations etc.), monthly reconciliation/confirmation and liaising with Finance teams in other Westcon-Comstor entities and affiliates.
* Administration of Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE) and maintenance of Fixed Asset register including addition, disposal, transfer, depreciation etc.
* Ensuring month-end, quarter-end, half-year and year-end close tasks are accurately performed in a timely manner including reconciliation of assigned Balance Sheet GL accounts and all other relevant APAC reporting.
* Providing support to Finance team during internal and external audits.
* Identifying where current processes can be improved and executing new and efficient methods.
* Running and supporting the AU Financial Controller with ad hoc projects
Position Requirements
Skills/Experience:
* CPA qualified
* SAP experience preferred
* Experience in a similar role, preferably IT industry
* Intermediate level competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to analyse and interpret data
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
* Excellent communication (verbal, written) skill
* Self-starter with proven ability to take ownership
