Our partner is the largest traffic control, traffic management and road maintenance services company in Australia and New Zealand. They are currently looking for an accountant, who would be responsible for end of month accounting close process, general taxation compliance. He or she would closely work with the CFO in preparing consolidated financial reporting and analysis to the business. The candidate must be a CPA in order to be qualified for the position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare the daily bank reconciliation and debtor finance uploading process
• Complete the month end journal process including but not limited to prepayment, accrual, provision, lease accounting, work in progress, inventory adjustment, intercompany transaction and various payroll accounts (annual leave, long service leave and WorkCover)
• Maintain the financial lease and operating lease schedule for the Group
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and follow up with relevant stakeholder to maintain the integrity and accuracy of Group's balance sheets at timely manner
• Preparation of tax compliance across BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT and Work cover
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and associated journals
• Assist with the preparation of monthly reporting packs including consolidated profit loss and balance sheet reporting
• Prepare Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and other regulatory reports for the responsible business units.
• Maintain current compliance with internal controls and procedures while constantly looking to improve controls and increase efficiency within the business
• Support external audit and year end reporting
• Provide the support to ERP modules and other business system implementation
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting across projects and to assist the wider business
