Job Title: Accountant (Direct-to-Consumer Ecommerce Company)
Salary Range: $1,000 to $1,600 per month
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM Mountain Time | 09:00 PM to 05:00 AM Philippine Standard Time
Responsibilities
Record financial transactions accurately and timely into QuickBooks or other accounting systems
Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Process vendor invoices, review for accuracy, and ensure timely payments
Prepare and send invoices to customers and follow up on collections
Assist in budget preparation and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure financial objectives are met
Aid in financial forecasting and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities
Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings
Monitor tax regulations and ensure the company's compliance with relevant tax laws
Support inventory management by reconciling inventory records and conducting periodic physical counts
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
Provide support during internal and external audits
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and sales, to gain insights and support decision-making processes
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
At least 2 years of experience as an Accountant, with a focus on QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in using Google Docs and other tools typically utilized by accountants
Detail-oriented and able to maintain high levels of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in the ecommerce industry is a plus
