ACCOUNTANT
The role needs strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. The role is expected to have regular and independent communication with management, peers in finance and other functions/business. You'll need to be pro-active, have a client-focused mind and create and maintain strong and effective relationships with the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and trust.
Computation of CGT and depreciation schedule
Compiling and analysing financial information to prepare tax returns and financial statements including monthly, quarterly and annual BAS's and income tax returns, ensuring deadlines are met.
Assisting with Preparation of monthly financial reports including investigation and commentary on variances against budget/forecast and historical
Prepare balance sheet reconciliation
Bookkeeping
Verifying financial statements, ledgers and accounts and making corrections where appropriate
Requirements:
Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or similar.
At least 2 to 3 years of general accounting experience is required for this position (AU experience preferred)
Knowledge with Australian tax experience and trust is highly preferred
Experience in a BPO setting is an advantage (Australian businesses preferred)
Proficient with Xero accounting software
Nice to haves: Quickbooks, MYOB, HubDoc, MS Office or similar
Must have an excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Great attention to detail
Must be willing to work on an AU shift, Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
