About the Role
This opportunity is suitable for a professional, detail oriented Accountant with deep understanding with the Australian accounting standard, proven experience working with Australian client handling end to end process of accounting.

Key responsibilities
Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and lodgement
Pay As You Go (PAYG) preparation and lodgement
Superannuation payment (SuperStream)
Monthly and quarterly executive reporting
Engage and communicate with the internal team(s) as required to deliver key responsibilities
Ask questions when unsure about anything to clarify expectations early and upfront
Engage with external customers unless specifically authorised to do so by the client
Responsible for client's Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables
Uploading of payment files but subject to final authorisation
Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation
Responsible for timesheet entry
Payroll computation including allowances and deductions
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is well regarded
Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper handling Australian clients
Experience with BAS and PAYG preparation is preferred
Xero certification is required
Familiarity with real estate financial operations is preferred
Background in accounting teaching is a plus but not required
