Processing of payroll
Preparation of quarterly Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements (BAS - GST returns)
Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies using Xero
Preparation of income tax returns for: individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies using Xero Tax
Preparation of tax planning calculations
Liaising with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and ASIC through the portal or via the phone if required.
Preparation of client correspondence and admin tasks.
Documentation of procedures.
- 3+ years experience in tax and business advisory
- Experience in public practice accounting firm
- Australian Taxation experience is essential.
· Accountant (CPA) - preferred
· Proficient in following software: Xero, Xero XPM, MYOB, Quickbooks and Microsoft Office (all)
· Maintain technical tax knowledge (not limited to): Division 7A loans, individual tax claims, small business concessions, depreciation rules, capital gains tax calculation, FBT, dividend imputation system and franking accounts.
· Experience with CCH knowledgebase desirable.
