Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Director, National Accounts, the National Accounts Account Executive is responsible for providing solutions and sales support to the management team within the sales department and responsibly managing a portfolio of Silversea's Strategic Partners. Under the guidance of the VP, National Accounts and Senior Director of Strategic Accounts, this position will support the day to day sales, marketing, promotion and reporting functions of the National Accounts area with a focus on profitability. This position demands strong communication skills, multi-tasking skills, and works in close collaboration with multiple departments including Revenue Performance, Marketing, Sales, Groups and Accounting/Finance. This position requires excellent verbal, written, organizational and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and support profitable sales relationships with the assigned portfolio of our critically important National Accounts and Strategic Partners.
Execute National Account sales & marketing initiatives and measure results, providing management and National Account Partner with analytics via monthly progress and goal reporting.
Assist in the selling of Silversea cruises and related shore side products and services to a defined list of travel advisors within the Strategic Partners portfolio.
Participate in weekly, bi-weekly, monthly conference calls with National Account and Strategic Partners to review revenue performance and sales objectives and opportunities.
Work closely with the, National Accounts, Strategic Partners, and Marketing department, to submit content and provide editing on partner marketing initiatives.
Support National Accounts and Strategic Partners leadership with yearly contract negotiations and budgeting projects by providing required analytics and reports.
Effectively and efficiently coordinate and process National Account partner co-op initiatives, including preparing Co-op Briefing Package, invoicing in Navision, updating co-op log and preparing check requests for accounting.
Coordinate and participate in National Account trade shows, conferences and social functions, including but not limited to creating an agenda, processing registrations, coordinating collateral and shipping of materials and more.
Update and maintain vendor information pages on partner intranet sites as well as update and maintain agency affiliation changes in Travel Agency Master.
Review, research and provide prompt and professional response to all correspondence directed to the department, including correspondence from travel partners as well as internal departments including field sales.
Research and compile information for random analysis projects (i.e. sales or TA incentive results). Assist in the composition of National Account collateral material for distribution to travel agents by the field sales team.
Closely coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management and other key areas to maximize revenue, driving efficiencies for the company to maximize sales, streamline service and optimize consistencies.
Other duties as directed by management which may fall out of the immediate scope of the position but which may be required to achieve commercial objectives.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Years of experience:
Five years working in customer service or sales support capacity, preferably in travel reservations/consumer sales or a related discipline.
Essential qualifications and skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to tactfully deal with internal and external contacts, providing the high-quality service that is required of a Silversea representative.
Proven ability to achieve results and work well under pressure
Candidate MUST possess very strong proficiency working in EXCEL
Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Comfortable on phone and in- person presenting; able to handle rejection and overcome obstacles
Strong written and verbal skills.
Excellent communication skills
Strong understanding of the luxury travel market.
Must possess a positive, team-player attitude.
