Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Librarian in-Charge and the Coordinator Educational Media Center, the AV Technician I (T-03) supports the day-to-day Instructional Technology Center (ITC) operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
A. ITC Support
Attends to the processing of digital resources of the ITC.
Sorts, accessions, and edits digital photos and videos;
Uploads the processed digital resources to the ITC online repository.
Attends to the video documentation of school activities.
Edits and/or transfers video documentations into another format for archiving.
Handles the duplication of audio/video recordings for posterity.
Assists in the charging and discharging of non-print materials and equipment.
Issues materials and equipment to borrowers;
Sorts and places materials in containers or on the shelves;
Keeps the workplace in order.
Assists in the reservation and scheduling of projection and other ITC services.
Sets-up, and/or operates requested equipment if necessary.
Handles the dubbing, taping, editing and recording requests from students and teachers.
Assists in the maintenance of ITC equipment whenever necessary.
Assists in the initial processing of AV materials (e.g. accessioning, labeling, stamping, etc.)
Assists in the production of instructional materials as needed for online learning.
Attends to the editing of video resources as needed in the production of the material.
Selects, organizes, and edits video materials necessary to create online learning modules.
Assists in finding relevant video contents online or from other sources.
Attends to the set up and operation of live feed equipment during grade level/school-wide activities as well as other special events.
B. Section Management Support
Gives technical advice on the acquisition of equipment and supplies for the Center.
Conducts an annual inventory of non-print materials and digital resources.
Prepares statistical reports.
C. Performs other functions that may be required from time to time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
With at least one (1) year of relevant work experience
Knowledge on set-up and operation of sound and other related equipment
Knowledge on the use of video and audio editing software
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel
Skills in oral and written communication
Skills in interpersonal relations
Quality and service orientation
Keen on details
Can work well independently and in a team
