JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FAÇADE 3D MODELER
Our client is a successful building design industry company that provides world-class solutions in the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke engineered building envelopes and glazing systems within New Zealand. They remain at the forefront of the building envelope-specific designsolution industry by maintaining an understanding of what their customers want, and delivering the concept as agreed.
We are looking for a skilled 3D Draftsman with Façade, Curtainwall Systems, and Sheetmetal Design experience that can help us support our growing customer base.
As a Façade 3D Modeler:
Technical or associate degree in Drafting/Architecture/Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Extensive experience as a Façade/ Curtain wall / Sheetmetal Designer.
Expert level skill (minimum 3 years' experience) in Inventor or SolidWorks.
This is a prerequisite for consideration.
Competent in the use of AutoCAD, a basic knowledge of Revit, and Microsoft Office.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience would be a plus.
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), and ability to develop rapport with other team members.
Ability to think outside the box and high attention to detail and accuracy.
Should have some AV Drafting/Engineering experience.
Must be willing to work onsite and on a dayshift schedule.
Experience:
3D Modeling (Inventor or SolidWorks): 3 Years (Required)
Drafting (AutoCAD): 2 Years (Required)
Façade: 2 Years (Required)
Your Responsibilities as Façade 3D Modeler:
Activities will include a multitude of Façade 3D drafting-related tasks such as Parametric modelling /BOM for CNC production) not limited to the production of engineering documents (system functional, floor plan, elevation drawings) and additional related engineering tasks.
The most apt candidate should be able to adjust to varying needs based on the individual client's documented practices and drawing standards.
The position will report directly to the AV Engineering Account Manager.
• Participate in Client and Stakeholder meetings on a regular basis as well as field video conference calls.
