We are looking for a 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Technician to join our growing team in the Philippines.
You will perform a variety of design and drafting activities group including preparing, updating installation drawings for projects, manufacturing drawings, establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management, and managing workload distribution within the CAD department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings.
Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes.
Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation.
Plan, produce, develop, and/or maintain 3D CAD models for concept, new and existing products.
Deliver all technical documents needed, assigned, and agreed upon to ensure your designs match actual production.
Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment installations.
Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (like drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and /performance guarantees) for future reference.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third-party items and services data base.
Review and modify information with supervision by the Technical Manager.
Make data available to application engineers and project managers.
Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.
Translate design concepts into reality and use 3D to make the design, color, and materialization come to life.
Respond thoughtfully and non-defensively to design critique with multiple design solutions and influence others through key decisions, milestones, and timelines.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field,
With at least 4-7 years of related work experience: or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience using AutoCAD 2D design software (required).
Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.
Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications.
Familiar with design parameters.
Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.
Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
Philippine Nationals only.
While the role is remote based, the candidate must be living in the Philippines.
Bilingual skills in English and Filipino are required.
