Job Description:
Sutherland Philippines is seeking an analytical and strategic-thinking person to join us as Health & Safety Expert. The purpose of this position is to ensure that all policies and processes pertaining to health, safety and environmental management are implemented to achieve corporate objectives, client requirements and regulatory compliance. He/she shall shall receive, collate and interpret information from various sources and in conjunction with Manager - Health & Safety; recommend and implement an appropriate health and safety posture for staff, business units, offices and facilities. This position reports with a solid line to the Manager -Health & Safety, who is based in Manila, Philippines
Key accountabilities :
Optimize resource utilization for health, safety, and environmental management by facilitating internal trainings and developing online training programs.
Implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 ( Lead the HIRAC and EIA, determining contextual issues, compliance obligations, internal audit, incident and CAR monitoring and evaluation) all sites of Sutherland Philippines
Conduct a thorough HSE Risk Assessment and evaluation of compliance in all sites of Sutherland and drive control measures to lower down significant risk to tolerable level.
Institutionalize the Health & Safety Committee in all sites of Sutherland Philippines that will drive safety programs to achieve occupational injury and ill-health prevention.
Develop the capability of identified Local Health & Safety and Environmental Officer by providing technical training, tools and coaching on HSE Matters.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Graduate of Engineering or Sciences Course , preferably Licensed Engineer or OH Nurse
Completed the DOLE prescribed course for Safety Officer - (1) Basic Occupational Health and (1) Safety Course and Loss Control Management Program
Completed the DENR prescribed course for Pollution Control Officer ; Accredited OHS Practitioner is an advantage
Experience in implementing and auditing ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 - Occupational Health and Safety Management System
Knowledgeable of local OHSE legal and other requirements
At least (3) Years Working Experience in HSE if Licensed Engineer or Sciences Graduate or at least (10) Years Working Experience in HSE for Undergraduate
Specialty (if applicable): HSE Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, HSE Auditing; Written and Verbal Communication Skills, Knowledgeable of MS Office application; Skills on Negotiation, Planning, Data Analysis and Partnering
