JTI GBS Manila is looking for a Payment Specialist to manage end-to-end payment processing activities. For a 12 month-period, you will play a vital part in ensuring operational excellence and compliance with internal policies, while supporting our global markets and working closely with cross-functional teams. If you're looking for a career that values precision, process improvement, and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities: Electronic Payment Processing: Execute daily payment runs, verify banking details, coordinate with internal teams on rejected payments, and ensure accurate and timely execution of all electronic transactions. Manual Payment Processing: Create and process manual payments via Electronic Banking System (EBS), ensure SAP entries are recorded, and manage ad-hoc queries. Ensure all requests meet value and period-end deadlines. Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to Global Operating Guidelines, internal procedures, and JSOX controls. Execute controls accurately and on time to meet internal and external audit standards. Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Ensure accurate vendor payments, generate reports as needed, and proactively identify opportunities to improve current processes and performance. Team & Project Support: Support team targets, collaborate with other Payment Specialists, and participate in cross-functional initiatives and GBS projects. Deliver excellent support to entities by understanding their operational needs and resolving payment-related concerns. What We're Looking For: University Degree in Accounting or a related field At least 2-3 years of accounting experience, at least 1 year in Payments (required) Hands-on experience with Electronic Banking Systems (ACH/Swift) is a huge plus Intermediate proficiency in English (spoken and written) Solid understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS), internal controls, and tax accounting Experience in SAP and Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of enterprise structure and financial governance is an advantage Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively Are you ready to join us? Additionally, it includes supporting process improvements, performing JSOX controls, ensuring accurate reporting, and participating in projects and ad-hoc tasks.As the Master Data Specialist in GBS you will:Ongoing operations: Vendor Master Data Maintenance, Customer Master Data Maintenance, Prices Maintenance.Process high volumes of Vendor & Customer creation into the SAP system in line with Policies and Procedures, with a strict focus on accuracy.Handling non-compliant documents by engaging with end-users and ensuring adherence to standards.Coordinate your workload to meet daily targets, collaborating closely with the immediate and wider P2P team to ensure flawless support when required.Take accountability to make decisions that support the speed and quality of team results.Support the CPM and Team Lead in process and system improvements by proposing optimization, simplification, and automation.Actively participate in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.Perform the assigned JSOX/operational controls in accordance with internal documentation.Advance all control failures and ensure mitigation actions are in place for each failure.Ensure accurate reporting and maintain dashboards to track compliance and control metrics.Handle ad-hoc tasks delegated by the CPM.Assist and provide support to other GBS groups within your area of responsibility.Take part in local and global projects as assigned by the CPM.Propose process improvements within your area of responsibility, including RCA, SOP creation, investigation, and handling critical issuesRequirements:University degree (Business or Finance)Proven experience in Vendor & Customer Master Data management, with the ability to process high volumes with outstanding accuracy under tight deadlines.Experience in working with important metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Experience in Shared Service Centers is a plus.Strong command of English (oral and written). Knowledge of additional languages within the GBS scope is a plus.Deep understanding of Purchase to Pay (P2P) end-to-end processes, particularly in Master Data processes.Structured, with outstanding attention to detail, and customer-centric.Strong analytical skills and the ability to support process improvement initiatives.Able to recommend solutions for problems and make decisions under pressure.Proficient SAP user and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Dedicated to supporting team objectives and encouraging a collaborative work environment.Are you ready to join us?
