The ServiceSource Business Applications team is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Workday Finance Administrator. Workday Finance Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, deployment and documentation, maintenance and configuration that enable Workday to drive business alignment and maximize organizational and business performance.
The Business Applications team manages all aspects of subscription-based cloud applications and custom internally developed solutions. Our responsibilities include end user support, requirements definition, development, testing, deployment, release management, system configuration, system administration, security design and execution, procurement, asset management, strategic cost management, vendor management, project management, data management, analytics, report and dashboard development, documentation, change management, compliance, and governance. Our customers include all ServiceSource employees and some external end users.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead Workday Finance implementations and upgrades by effectively partnering with colleagues in HR, Finance, IT, vendors throughout the lifecycle of a release or project
Support Workday functionalities including but not limited to Accounting and Finance, Revenue Management, Reporting, Payroll, Time Tracking, Procurement, Expenses
Support issue resolution, tracking support ticket status and partnering with teams to resolve
Collaborate with project resources in all aspects of system testing including development of test strategy documentation, creating test scripts, coordinate testing resources, compile test completion metrics, and test script execution
Drive the execution of Workday configuration and Reporting
Assist with prioritization of enhancements and overall stabilization efforts
Partner with business users to recommend supplemental solutions leveraging Workday
Prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
Supports end users with ad hoc or nonstandard batch uploads, creating complex reports and resolving issues with existing reports
Assist the integration team with design, configuration and testing delivered and custom integrations
Continually seek ways to improve the process of delivering Workday solutions
Job Skills & Qualifications
B.S degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business related area or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2 years of practical Workday Finance experience including the support and implementation of Financial applications such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle E-Business, SAP or other SaaS software solutions
Experience as a functional subject matter expert in at least three (3) of the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Grant and/or Fund Management, Procurement, Fixed Assets, Projects, Cash/Treasury, Financial Reporting, Financial Data Model
Experience re-engineering finance business processes
Experience developing functional business integration requirements
Project Management skill is required
Experience in writing documents and executing requirements, design, development, and testing
Working knowledge of software development life cycle activities (i.e., requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment)
Working knowledge of agile development methodology
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and perform against tight deadlines and multitask effectively
Strong self-motivation balanced with a desire to achieve team goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment
Able to develop and implement a project schedule, have a continuous improvement mindset and be capable of handling multiple priorities concurrently
Able to interpret functional specifications or requirements
Able to conceptualize how various set-up options affect application functionality
Uninterrupted home-based internet is required for this role. Applicants should have sufficient internet access in their homes to attend and host video calls, as well as perform essential functions of the role which include downloading and uploading of large files to shared network drives. In general, we have found that a minimum bandwidth speed of 20mbps is essential.
