Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Wiring 3D Design Engineer located in Cebu, Philippines.
What a typical day looks like:
Responsible for creating and packaging all electrical components into vehicle position while keeping vehicle timing.
Create Zone engineering data, validate and create proposal
Component Selection Experience Based on Customer Engineering Requirements & Specifications
Support and Lead cross- functional design reviews and participate in Routing Quality Assessments and Design For Manufacturing activities
Define best routing, proper components, attachment location and length to install and support all the options per customer specification
Coordinate and Participate in VE/VA and Continuous Improvement projects as required.
Engineering Change Control Processes and Evaluation of Change Options and cost management
Generation of wire harness assembly in 3d and 2d models containing all logical ang mechanical data needed for manufacturing.
Developed and released designs and specifications for all wire harness applications through PLM system (FCA TCe).
Work on the development of failure analysis reports and/or presentations for management
Work with product teams to identify key data sets and develop reports.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Possesses a Degree in related discipline
5 to 7 years' Experience in some or most skills showed below in Wiring Harnesses 3D Routing Engineer
Wiring Harness Routing Design Experience
Several years' experience in Automotive Wiring Industry
Experience being resident at a customer releasing Wiring Harnesses
Strong organization and communication skills and Ability to Document Project & Product Design Elements
Experience in Component Level Validation & Harness DVP&R's, DFM, DFMEA
Familiarity with FCA Wiring Engineering Systems is a plus
High Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Familiarity with multiple customer specifications and requirements
Strong proficiency in Print Marking, Reading, and Checking utilizing 3D Math to Generate 2D Wire Harness Prints
Ability to read and understand specs, IVED schematics, UG data
Ability to work independently in a cross functional team environment.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and in high pressure environment
Continuous contact with appropriate customer departments
Experienced with Unigraphics & Team Center or other similar PLM Systems
Good communication skills for interfacing with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing and customers both verbal and written.
