INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS ENGINEER II- WINDOWS SERVER ADMIN
 
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often required.
Certifications: Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or other vendor-specific certifications related to Windows server administration and networking are beneficial.
Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on Windows server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, and virtualization technologies like Hyper-V or VMware.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Server Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.
Active Directory Management: Managing user accounts, groups, and organizational units within Active Directory, as well as implementing and maintaining Group Policies.
System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving issues, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
Security Management: Implementing security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls to protect systems from cyber threats.
Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and system continuity in case of failure or disaster.
Scripting and Automation: Writing scripts, particularly in PowerShell, to automate routine tasks and streamline system management processes.
Patch Management: Applying software updates, patches, and service packs to servers and workstations to keep them secure and up-to-date.
Virtualization: Configuring and managing virtualized environments using platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware, including virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Collaboration and Communication: Working collaboratively with other IT teams and stakeholders to support business objectives and communicate technical information effectively.
