Description
1. Prepares welding equipment such as cable, holder, rod and welding machine to be used in welding
2. Performs welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), or SMAW (Stick Welding).
3. Grinds by using grinding machine, grader, chipping hammer, steel brush and grinding disk used to shape and finish components made of metals to remove rusts and other oxides showing high surface quality and high accuracy of shape and dimension.
4. Performs gouging using arc air to clean surfaces of rust, mill scale, paint, grease and dust.
5. Attends Take Five (5) Meetings daily to get work instructions and reminders to do the job safely.
6. Performs housekeeping chores after welding, grinding and gouging by cleaning the area from wastes, welding buts to avoid accidents.
7. Follows instructions in compliance with company's policies on wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and help ensure zero accident and safe work environment.
8. Performs other functions which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
