Job Description
Perform TIG (GTAW) and SMAW welding on various pipe materials and thicknesses, following welding procedures and specifications.
Read and interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to ensure accurate weld placement and alignment.
Conduct pre-weld preparation and post-weld inspection to maintain quality standards and prevent defects.
Ensure that all welding work meets project codes, standards, and quality requirements.
Collaborate with Pipe Fitters and other team members to ensure accurate alignment and fit-up of piping systems.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols to create a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pipe Welder in the Oil & Gas industry.
Certification: Qualified in TIG (GTAW) and SMAW welding processes, with demonstrated skill in pipe welding.
Proficient in TIG and SMAW welding techniques for various pipe materials and diameters.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality and defect-free welds.
Basic understanding of safety standards and regulations in the oil and gas industry.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members on fit-up and welding tasks.
