Job description - Web/ IoT Software Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a background in modern cloud, mobile, and IoT platform development. Software Engineers at DSDC embrace quality engineering in their day to day work, and so candidates familiar with test first development methodologies will feel right at home here. The successful applicant for this job will be a highly motivated individual contributor that values learning and can see their success as part of the team.
Required Skills:
2 to 3 years' experience in developing web platforms utilizing PHP, Javascript, CSS, MySQL (Symfony/ Laravel framework experience a big plus)
A working knowledge of the Linux operating system (any distribution)
Nice to Have Skills:
Familiarity working with C++, including the QT application framework
Familiarity with AWS EC2
Familiarity with AWS IoT Core
Android/ iOS Mobile Development Experience
Test First Development (TDD/ BDD Frameworks)
* Learning and training opportunities exists here as well for the candidate willing to do on the job training.
Work Environment:
The Agile team to which this position will belong has a strong commitment to engineering quality.
Works on schedule that allows shifts to overlap both Philippines daylight hours as well as our corporate head office hours in the US.
