Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain and develop E-Commerce platforms and administer changes to the user interface and/or back-end data architecture database
• Design and develop new functionality enhancements for E-Commerce websites
• Assist the Marketing and Sales team, from a technical aspect, in relation to all parts of E-commerce systems when needed
• Identify and resolve systems issues across multiple platforms
• Perform quality assurance tests and find the cause of the problem when performance is not meeting standards. Execute and apply solutions for problems encountered
• Stay current on emerging technologies and platforms with the goal of applying these technologies to current and future projects
• Perform updates and maintenance on E-Commerce website and servers
• Assist in troubleshooting E-Commerce EDI issues with partner sites
• Contribute to designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration and automated deployment systems and processes
• Create landing pages, layout pages and integrate plugins as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge with WooCommerce development
• WooCommerce plugin experience
• Able to layout pages using WordPress and Photoshop
• Knowledge in WordPress and landing pages
• Working knowledge of the following HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP or similar languages
• Commitment to building and designing for excellent user experience
• Knowledge in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, bug fixes and site improvements
• Experience in working in collaborative and cross-functional team environments
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Experience with Shopify would be an advantage
