Responsibilities
Responsible for the control & management of Inventory and Systems in the warehouse.
Manage warehouse inventory, systems, reverse logistics, asset disposal and leased pallet inventory with the objective of maintaining internal controls and keeping losses to absolute minimal. With these control measures supporting the achievement of contractual KPIs and an efficient and effective warehouse operation.
Responsible in meeting the Inventory targets measured based on Controls in-process measures and contractual customer KPI's.
Plan and execute the perpetual inventory process in conjunction with Operations Managers Wall 2 Wall stock takes to be managed in a similar manner
Implement defined processes to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and local legal obligations
Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs
Investigate the risk of business disruptions and implement identified mitigation
Ensure that the safety and quality standards as defined for DHL and the customer are maintained and managed through consequence on a daily basis
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics, or comparable experience
At 3 to 5 years previous experience within a logistics management role, with a demonstrated history of process improvement and successful leadership of teams.
Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory control with excellent ERP/MRP systems knowledge and general high-level computer literacy.
Ability to form successful relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external through influencing and negotiation skills to form solutions in line with business objectives.
