Description
1. Warehouse Administration
• Ensure effective utilization of warehouse areas and observe proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of items to maintain the quality of merchandise in order to prevent product damage and avoid occurrence of accidents and occupational hazards.
• Review paperwork from deliveries to determine if additional work requirements will occur.
• Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
2. Merchandise Distribution
• Oversee the receipt and distribution of merchandise entering or leaving warehouse.
• Effectively monitor processes and ensure compliance to Company policies and procedures.
3. Inventory Management
• Initiate all requests for replenishment of stock.
• Take periodic inventories and participate in monthly inventory program.
• Coordinate with the marketing / merchandising department in maintaining stock levels in warehouse based on market demand and sales forecast.
• Ensures accuracy of product inventories against system records.
4. People Management
• Motivate, organize and encourage staff to ensure set productivity targets are met.
• Train staff and monitor their performance and progress.
• Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements within the warehouse.
