WAITER/WAITRESS
Job Description:
A Waiter/Waitress main responsibility is to ensure that customers have an enjoyable dining experience. A Waiter/Waitress should have excellent customer service skills, should greet customers in a polite and friendly manner, provide them with menus and suggest seasonal specials. They also are the point of contact for bills and should perform several front-of-the-house duties such as cleaning the tables after customers dine in.
The duties and responsibilities of a Waiter/Waitress are but not limited to:
Greeting customers as they settle down and introducing them to the menus
Taking the customers' orders and delivering them to the kitchen staff for preparation
Confirming that the food items match the orders and delivering them at the tables
Inquiring if the customers are satisfied, giving bills and processing payments
Working with kitchen staff to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
Maintaining the cleanliness of the area
Ensuring that the operational procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
Attending regular meetings with Restaurant and Kitchen Manager to find out about menu changes and menu specials
All other tasks that may be assigned
