Our respected client is seeking a seasoned engineer with 10-15 years of solid experience in mining as VP of Operations position. The job is based in Mankayat, Benguet, Philippines.
Job Summary:
The VP of Operations will report directly to President and Chief Operating Officer and collaborate with top management in setting and driving organizational vision and operational strategy
Key job responsibilities include:
Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance, growth and profitability by implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
Work with the management team on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation.
Drive company results from both operational and financial perspective
Manage business risks and crisis issues
Oversee core business operations, and monitor and analyze productivity
Gauge efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes and systems, and identify improvement areas
Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with community, local government, regulatory agencies, and other professional business relationships
Support continuous improvement initiatives to align with mining standards
Promote safety, health and environment programs
Ensure compliance with mining standards, government regulations and other legal requirements
Provide top management with accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the company
Lead the company's culture-building programs
Foster a growth-oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable
Graduate of Mine Engineering or related discipline, preferably with MBA
Licensed Mine Professional
At least twenty (20) years in the related field and in a managerial or executive capacity
