Description
The role of Virtual Interpreters (VI) is to facilitate communication between non-English/non-Filipino guests, visitors, staff and English/Filipino speaking people of the clients we serve. This will be done through our remote or virtual staff technology and system.
The role will also be responsible in translating or transcribing documents from foreign countries into English/Filipino format.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Convey spoken content accurately from one language to another.
- Assist with documentation, filing and paperwork.
- Assists guests, visitors, suppliers of our clients to explain and clarify information to the employees or staff of our clients.
- If necessary, translate written documents or audio tapes to and from target language and English.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You should be able to speak any of the following foreign language:
* Korean
* Japanese
* Chinese - Mandarin
- Excellent in English and Filipino language, both oral and written.
- Experience working with expats or foreign nationalities, preferably speaking with languages as stated above.
- Graduate of any degree.
- Willing to work on a remote or virtual staff set-up.
- Technology savvy and has adept skills in using internet and cloud-based systems.
- Amiable personality and can adapt to different personality.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Willing to work or relocate in Clark, Pampanga.
ADVANTAGES:
- Direct experience working as interpreter (Japanese, Korean, Chinese) to English or Filipino speaking companies.
- Virtual staff experience is an advantage (i.e. Online English Instructor, Virtual Staff, etc.)
- Has at least with 1 or 2 combined language proficiency in non-English. (i.e. Knowledge of both Japanese and Korean language)
