The essential functions listed below are representative of duties performed by this job title. Duties generally include but are not limited to the following:
a. Working with a team to create the film or video product
b. Figuring out what type of equipment to use
c. Cleaning and disassembling hardware
d. Setting up and tearing down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props
e. Calibrating and maintaining equipment
f. Troubleshoots problems with the equipment
g. Interviewing people and creating a film clip via editing raw footage
h. Editing the video such as by inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
i. Adding computer graphics and special effects to a video
Requirements:
a. With Bachelor's degree in Multi Media Arts is an advantage
b. Manual dexterity, physical mobility, and some physical strength/stamina
c. Creativity and attention to detail
d. Ability to work under deadline pressure
e. Organization to manage their time efficiently
f. Ability to capture snippets of film and be able to edit it into a cohesive story
g. Flexibility and good listening skills
h. Enough patience to wait for the perfect shot
i. Energy and determination
j. Technical acumen to be able to operate, configure, set up, and fix video, audio, lighting, or other production equipment
k. Must know computerized video editing software (ex. Adobe Suites) and equipment
l. Understanding of post-production techniques
m. Can work in a variety of digital venues with software to edit and finish film work
n. Passion-you have to be all about getting the shot
o. Integrity, efficiency, honesty and a clean record are mandatory requirements (all candidates shall be subject to background and reference checks)
