We are looking for an experienced Video Editor & Content Creator who is independent and has a high attention to detail. In this role, you'll experience editing vlog style videos, interviews, tours & social edits. You will need to have excellent knowledge of story creation, interpreting footage and curating into well-told stories across episodes and also across entire series.
This role will work closely with the Brand Director and Marketing Manager in Melbourne where all content is shot you will take a brief and deliver considered, creative and unique videos to be used across multiple platforms.
After a full year on YouTube, our client have over 100k subscribers and a total audience of over 500k across all platforms, the contents are seen by 2million people every single week.
This job is supported by a full team in house across Melbourne & Philippines offices but is a highly autonomous role that requires a solid understanding of modern video editing for online formats.
Daily content is required from fresh new videos to re-edits and re-formats for different platforms.
Detailed job description and process manual are used via Trello and we will continue to improve ongoing documentation of the role. This board houses tips, tricks and all job briefs as required.
This is a full-time role based from home, however, we have the support and monthly meetings in our office in Melbourne Australia & Angeles City, Philippines.
Required Experience
• An uncanny ability to tell visual stories through creative video editing
• Knowledge of sound engineering & sound design
• Graphic design skills an advantage
• Ability to think creatively, identify and resolve problems.
• High levels of integrity, autonomy and self-motivation.
• Ability to problem solve, but not averse to asking questions to ensure the best result is delivered in the quickest possible time.
• A knowledge of YouTube & understanding of what content performs on the platform
Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to research YouTube and suggest future content for us to create.
• Independent and autonomous.
• Excellent written English
• Relevant working experience
A Successful Candidate must have
• Excellent knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Excellent knowledge in Adobe After Effects
• Excellent color correction skills
• Excellent English communication skills
• Flexible in work setup (home based or office based)
Additional Requirements (Upon notice)
• Will be needing to send examples of 3 recent videos over 5min long that you have edited from start to finish
• Will be needing to send examples of 3 recent Social Media video's you have edited and have gone live on an active account.
• Will need to send through a link to your top 3 YouTube channels you subscribe to.
