OPSDM1.Team Lead, Service Delivery
This position is the OptumRx Prior Authorization Nurse supervisor responsible to lead and manage a team of Registered Nurses performing clinical case reviews of medication coverage determination requests.
Position provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the team to ensure clinical case quality, productivity, and regulatory goals and requirements are achieved. Job also entails setting a positive work environment and achieves teamwork and innovation among employees.
Position participates and provides representation for Prior Authorization team in inter-department meetings and workgroups within OptumRx to ensure Prior Authorization department issues and needs are addressed. Position also participates in quality improvement and process enhancement projects.
Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical or production team or unit.
Impact of work is most often at the team level.
Requirements:
Current/Active, unrestricted U.S. nursing credentials
2+ years clinical experience in a hospital, acute care, home health / hospice, direct care, case management, or utilization review
1+ year experience working as lead or supervisor or equivalent experience within a team of nurses including managing operations of a work unit.
Adept with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL) basic computer skills, and web-based navigation
Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnosis
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Nursing degree
1+ year in a Clinical Contact Center environment
Previous Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) Experience or Healthcare/Health Insurance experience
