ROLE SUMMARY
Our client is looking for an looking for Accounting Associate to join our Client Onboarding and For Profit team. This role works primarily with clients to enter accounts payable data and perform reconciliations to QuickBooks Online, external systems, and vendor statements.
The Accounting Associate works closely with the Onboarding and For Profit team and leverages their accounts payable, some accounting, and technical expertise to help streamline client processes and perform reconciliations to many systems. This position reports to the Team Leader, Onboarding, and Team Leader, For Profit.
SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in entering accounts payable into QuickBooks Online
Review vendor statements with any external client system
Reconcile client external system to vendor statements to QuickBooks Online as a three-way match for the amount due, credits received and any activity is not accounted for in the accounting system
Document the key findings from the reconciliation process to the teams
Assist in entering the payables, credits, and amounts due in QuickBooks Online based on the results of due diligence
Adhere to timelines with the team for entering and reconciliations
Identify areas for improvement in each client's accounting processes or reporting and provide solutions
Work closely with other team members to ensure a professional and excellent client experience
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in the related field is an advantage
Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience is required
Accounts payable for the automotive industry experience is a plus (repair shops, collision repair shops, body shops. Auto dealerships do not count unless they have a maintenance department)
Small-mid size US business bookkeeping knowledge required
Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online within the last 5 years
Bill.com experience is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Comfortable with learning new technology and accounting applications quickly
Must be highly organized, tech-savvy, self-motivated, comfortable with change and ambiguity, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines using excellent time management skills with ease and professionalism
Consistent availability for internal and external meetings
Effective problem-solving and project management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Professional with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
