Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Truck Dispatcher to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our trucking fleet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling loads, maintaining clear communication with drivers, monitoring shipments, and ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and dispatch drivers to assigned locations.
Monitor driver routes and shipment progress using GPS and tracking systems.
Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, delays, and operational issues.
Coordinate with customers, brokers, and warehouse personnel.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate dispatch records and operational reports.
Resolve delivery issues promptly and provide effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Truck Dispatcher or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of trucking regulations and logistics operations
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple drivers simultaneously.
Proficient in dispatch software and basic computer applications
