FIELD PROCUREMENT OFFICER
 
Job Summary:
 
The Field Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring goods and services from suppliers in the field. This role ensures procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness. The officer will work closely with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal departments to secure the best products at competitive prices while ensuring timely delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors in the field.
Conduct market research to determine price trends and supplier reliability.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with internal departments to understand procurement needs and specifications.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery.
Manage and develop supplier relationships
Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost canvassing, and supplier evaluations.
Travel to supplier locations and conduct site visits as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
College graduate
Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management.
Ability to work independently in the field and make quick, informed decisions.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Willingness to travel frequently as required by the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the seafood industry procurement sector.
Familiarity with local sourcing strategies.
Working Conditions:
Frequent travel to supplier locations and field operations.
Office and on-site work as required.
May involve inspecting raw materials.
