Job Summary
 
The Electronics Technician works under the Product Development Team and is responsible in the hand assembly of electronic devices using soldering, epoxy, and bonding techniques. Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production of electronic products, parts, and equipment applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, and electronic test equipment and precision measuring instruments.
 
Preferred Skills
Read and interpret electric and electronic planning documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, procedures, manuals, assembly, setup and test data parameters to perform set up, assembly and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems to acquire and record test data.
Proficient in soldering of multiple styles including fine and large pitch electronic components.
Proficient in the assembly process of electronic subassemblies/assemblies to include complex text boxes to test equipment racks.
Proficient in cable assemblies, crimping, splicing shielding including working with micro connector and high-density type of connectors.
Qualifications
Certificate in Mechatronics and some degree of vocational or technical training from accredited electronics trade school or college, with coursework and associated lab classes in DC, AC and semiconductor devices
Ability to rigorously follow written procedures and document results
Able to read a variety of electronic schematics, diagrams and detailed electronic circuit procedure documentation.
Very handy in soldering skill, capable of repairing and replacing components at board level.
Excellent team player with exceptional communications skills, documentation capability and work ethic.
