Solar PV Designer / Electrical Engineer
 
We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing solar photovoltaic systems tailored to meet the energy needs of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of solar PV technology, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in using design software to create efficient and cost-effective solar solutions.
 
Job Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed site assessments to evaluate solar PV feasibility.
2.  Design solar PV system layouts using industry-standard software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD) to maximize energy production and efficiency including selection and sizing of equipment, Solar module, inverter, battery, cable, cable trunking, protection devices & etc.
3. Prepare detailed technical drawings, diagrams, specifications, and reports.
4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, installers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful implementation of solar PV projects.
5. Carrying out assigned Electrical Engineering activities within the team from project establishment to project completion.
6. Ensuring work is completed to a high standard, consistency and that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards, procedures and the basis of design.
 
Job Requirements:
1. Diploma/Degree/Certificate in Electrical Engineering. Clean Energy Engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience
3. Has knowledge in electrical design concepts
4. Candidate with experience in solar projects will be an added advantage
5. Knowledge in energy modelling software (PVsyst), AUTOCAD and construction modelling software
6. Familiarity with local building codes, zoning regulations, and utility interconnection requirements
7. Committed individual with great initiative and strong problem-solving skills
8. Can start work immediately
