BUILDING ENGINEER (Salary Range: 15-25k)
 
Job Summary:
 
We are seeking a dedicated Building Engineer with expertise as a Mechanical Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of all building systems, facilities, and equipment in our retail environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all facilities are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage projects effectively.
 
Responsibilities:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues related to building systems and equipment.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure optimal functioning of facilities.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for repair and maintenance services.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and resolve them efficiently.
Collaborate with other departments to support retail operations and address facility-related issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
With or without experience
Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be available to work in a rotating schedule.
