Job Description:
 
A bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy, and performing basic financial tasks for an organization. Their primary duties include recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, generating financial reports, and assisting with the preparation of tax returns. Bookkeepers may also handle tasks such as payroll processing, invoicing, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
 
Qualifications:
Accounting Graduate
Previous experience in bookkeeping or a related role is beneficial but not always required.
Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in recording financial transactions and maintaining records.
Mathematical Skills: Solid numerical skills and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication to work with team members and handle client inquiries.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Optional, but obtaining certification as a bookkeeper can enhance job prospects.
