We are currently hiring for the following positions for our MEPZ 1, Cebu site.
An experienced ACCOUNTANT
The successful candidate
Provides financial information to management by recording, reviewing accounting data and providing assistance in the preparation of reports such as Financial statements, (IS, BS, TB)etc.
Works in functional areas of Fixed assets, payroll, general ledger, tax and government reporting inclusive of PEZA reportorial requirements and remittances.
Is responsible for verifying, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
Examines bank statements and reconcile with general ledgers
In-charge in the Maintenance of Chart of Accounts
Prepares payroll and government remittances for Indirect position or for SNE/EX only (like SSS, HDMF, etc)
Along with the Sr Accountant, prepares and files monthly; quarterly; annual income tax return
Monitors SSS advances/Pag-ibig/and other advances
Prepares and timely submission of PEZA reports
Process accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely payment to supplies; prepares APV's where applicable.
Prepares period-end journal vouchers for assigned accounts and reviews account balances for correctness
To be considered for this role :
School Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting'; CPA is preferred but not necessary
Specialization / Expertise: General Accounting; Corporate Finance
Experience: Prepares period-end journal vouchers for assigned accounts and reviews account balances for correctness
Languages: Good communication skills, fluent in both written and spoken English.
