JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for explaining the procedures to patients, and preparing the diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures; Helps Physicians interpret the data from the images and determines which images should be saved and discarded; Responsible in ensuring that records are kept properly; Performs administrative duties in the clinic.
• Ensure completeness of all needed imaging supplies and proper maintenance of all machine and equipment.
• Correct performs all imaging procedures including proper identification of patient
• Secures the DRF from the patient, and checks the order of the physicians
• Logs the name of patient for x-ray, mammography 2D echo and ultrasound to the corresponding daily census log sheet
• Explains the procedure to the patient
• Prepares the patient physically and psychologically
• Performs complete echocardiography’s examination
• Does the after care to patient and assists on getting out of bed
• Instructs patient regarding the availability of the result
• Encodes the official results in the system
• Strictly observes standard set on aseptic technique and universal precautions.
• Ensures a timely reporting of results and those results are correct and accurate.
• Strictly adheres to maintaining confidentiality of all laboratory results.
• Participates in a monthly staff development program.
• Submits required reports to Clinic Officer.
• Performs other related tasks assigned by the Senior Radiologic Technician/Clinic Officer from time to time.

A Registered Rad Tech
Responsible,

With good interpersonal skills
Willing to work on shifting schedule
Knowledge in ultrasound is an advantage
